TLDR: Make sure your shipping address is absolutely spot on before confirming your order! Unfortunately, my auto-fill settings on my laptop amalgamated my current address with my previous one, which I didn't notice until after I completed the order. I contacted customer service within 5 minutes of placing the order. They responded within 30 minutes of placing the order, stating that there was nothing they could do apart from letting the package go due to the speed at which packages are "picked, packed and added to the very big stack of parcels". The customer service, whilst frustrating, was extremely prompt, which is why I've given 2 stars. As it currently stands, I'm waiting for Royal Mail to return the items to PiHut so that I can arrange for a refund and place the order again.

I'm returning the product. Surely this is for techies not for noobs. I have tried all the help articles but in vain. Maybe the product should say its not meant for laymen.

Several days after placing my order I received an email to say that one of the items shown as in stock was out of stock but as a gesture of good will I could have my postage repaid on another order. About 2 hours after this the remaiing order arrived before I had a chance to cancel the whole order. A part order doesn't allow me to build what I wanted to do.

My order was for some small electric motors and mounting brackets. Unfortunately the brackets are far too big for the motors. I am surprised that this was not queried by Pi Hut before dispatch.

The pi hit did well with my order, the screen I bought did arrived damaged but I asked support and was given the option of a refund. The delivery was prompt. Overall good shopping experience

Speaker doesn't work with my MacBook Pro. Does not connect from usb to c-port with adaptor.

I built my own ground plane ariel that cost me £5 the ariel I bought off you extended my range by just 10 miles, Ibuilt it off a video on youtube, I was expecting a lot more, ariel is in the exact same position. Dissapointed to say the least. My advice would be build your own.

I had a generally good experience with the Pi Hut. Unfortunately Royal Mail lost my item and it took some time to recover them. Pi Hut customer service was not very helpful at all as i outlined the issue of the missing items and they told me to check Royal Mail tracking which at this point said my item was delivered (which i outlined in my support request message). The items themselves were good quality but the only reason i chose Pi Hut was because i could not find these items elsewhere at similar price and lower delivery fee. Definitely would recommend improving customer service.

Confusing website looked like the case would fit, they reccomended the upgrade, so i paid more. Only to receive a case and screen that were no where near a fit for each other. Then, when I point it out, it's my fault (obviously) and i get to pay to return the item. It's a shame as I am a big Pi fan and PIHut was there first, didn't goof and things just worked, or used to !

I ordered 4 items, but only 3 were delivered, and I could only use 2 of those - not great for my first PiHut order. The item that was not delieved was out of stock (though was showing as in stock when I ordered it). For the item that was delivered and which I could not use, I raised a very simple query (along the lines of, are two connectors compatible with each other) prior to the order but the person who responded to my query could not answer the query and it seems was too lazy to try and find out the answer (e.g. by opening a packet and checking), so I orded the item speculatively, and unfortulately it turned out to be the wrong part. If the person responding to queries had some very basic knowledge of the products being sold and/or a little bit of motivation to help then this would not have happened.

Pi Hut does not allow the cancellation of orders; the only option is to wait for the order to be delivered and then to send it items back. This policy is not good for the environment at all.

Sadly, the item purchased, an active cooler, the Pi ICE Tower Plus for RPi 5 did not appear to work as stated in the user leaflet supplied with it. The fan did not cut in above 60 degrees (nor at 64 degrees) thus defeating the purpose for which it was bought for. There is no technical help to set the fan trip point to a lower or higher temperature, which would be a great help to many users according to this issue being raised on posts on the Internet. I have previously purchased other items from The PiHut but this purchase has been a sad experience.

Order not checked for consistency. Wrong pibow frame for display 2. Active cooler cover won't fit fan connected to pi 5 on display 2. No warning re os version needed for display 2. No response from support for several days re questions.

I'm afraid I can't review this item as I haven't received it yet. It was received by DHLlast week and they have been holding it in Manchester. Delivery was meant to be the 5th, still waiting. They say possibly today we'll see. I don't see this as a fault on your part as you did send it maybe the fault is your choice of delivery company

As a resource for hobby programmers and builders the Pi Hut is a shadow of its former self. It used to provide really good tutorials and test programmes with most of the kit it provides. Now it tends not to. The breakbeam detector I've just purchased is a case study. No real help on how to use it linked to the sale page and yet they have a pretty good tutorial attached to one of their advent calendars. Sales pages are not always found by quoting the part number but it is only the part number that is given in the packing. Am I the only one who comes across a little plastic bag with a component in it and wonder what I bought months ago and how to use it? Delivery turnround is still excellent.

Item arrived previously opened. Not surprised when it didn't work. Refund can take up to 10 days when debit is instantaneous?

Ordered Sunday, wasnt dispatched until Tuesday, when I asked why I was reffered to the small print about delays when new product launches were happening, how is the customer supposed to know when there is a new product launch going on?! I needed the product for the Friday so plenty of time, when I submitted a ticket to say it hadnt arrived, rather than provide a solution (like sending another for next day delivery) I just got a "it should be there soon" type responce. It arrived the following Tuesday, so 9 days after ordering it and 4 days after when I needed it for so sent it back for a refund, so now £4 out of pocket from the experience. Im sure the argument is that they cant be accountable for the postal service they choose to use..but why should I. There were other options for them to get what I wanted on time but they chose not to explore those options.

Can't fault them for the range they carry. Sadly I ordered a small cable for £3 and it ended up costing and additional £3.90 for P&P. This is ridiculous. They need to take this into account. In this day and age charging this kind of postage is criminal.
